About the Fraud Risk Associate (US) Role

Flutterwave is looking for a Fraud Risk Associate (US). This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the Fraud Risk Lead with pre-empting, identifying, mitigating and preventing all forms of merchant and transactional fraud

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor accounts and transactions to identify potentially fraudulent behavior
  • Analyze and utilize data to identify risk factors and trends and generate metrics
  • Escalate issues to the Fraud Risk Lead promptly
  • Identify gaps in the systems and processes and brainstorm solutions to mitigate fraud risk
  • Work with internal teams such as engineering to build fraud solutions

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 2- 5 years of risk management experience, preference for experience in payments
  • Experience in risk mitigation, analysis and management

  • Skilled in analytical tools such as Python or SQL

  • Efficient multi-tasker and ability to work & deliver under pressure

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
