About the Associate, Corporate Finance Role

We are looking for driven, passionate and committed individuals to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.

As our Associate, Corporate Finance, you will work directly with our Global Head of Finance to assess the business from an integrated point of view while driving better partnering, analytics, and insights. You can have an impact on business performance through the creation and management of financial reporting packages/dashboards to support our Board of Directors, Executive Management, and Investor Relations.  You will also be responsible for analyzing performance, helping maintain the company’s long-range financial plan, and ad hoc projects. 

What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like 

• Help maintain and build out consolidated company-wide model and assist with the company’s long-range financial plan, including detailed P&L and cash flow planning
• Manage and optimize the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages and presentations for the Board of Directors, Executive Team, Investor Relations, and senior finance leaders
• Help evaluate potential M&A and equity investment opportunities from a financial perspective
• Partner with the broader finance teams on variance analyses related to budget, prior year, and prior reforecast, and provide insightful analysis to the leadership team
• Assist in coordinating the company-wide quarterly reforecast process and annual planning cycle working with senior leaders across the organization
• Provide analytical, financial modeling and decision-making support for ad-hoc analyses as needed, including for fund-raising efforts

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

• Completion of top tier 2-year investment banking program required.  1-2 years of corporate development or FP&A experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
• Must possess advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Software systems experience with ERP, Planning, and BI tools preferred
• Strong Work Ethic; Results-Oriented with Strong Sense of Urgency
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and must be highly organized
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
