About the DevOps Engineering Role

We are looking for driven, passionate and committed individuals to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.

As our DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to build and run the entire lifecycle of a project from development and test to deployment and operations. 

What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like 

  • Develop and maintain software infrastructure
  • Plan, build, run, test, release and monitor project applications
  • Troubleshoot issues reported by users
  • Manage releases and versions controls 
  • Administer databases
  • Manage continuous integration
  • Develop deployment automation script 
  • Manage disaster recovery processes and systems
  • Maintain the documentation of system and network administration
  • Assist the QA team with the development, testing, staging and go live of projects

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

Our ideal candidate is an experienced executioner with at least 2 years’ experience. You must be very resourceful and comfortable working under short timelines and intense pressure to deliver in seemingly impossible situations while remaining flexible, proactive, data-driven and efficient. 

  • Strong analyzing and organizing skill
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Comfort with frequent code testing and deployment
  • Great knowledge of scripting languages and a solid understanding of operating systems
  • Credible experience in troubleshooting
  • Experience with systems and IT operations
  • Solid knowledge of databases and network administration
  • Strong grasp of automation tools
  • Data management skills
  • Excellent command of the English language; both written and verbal
  • Team spirit
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
